Background
There is a small area of grass bounded on the left by 103 Randwick Crescent, on the right by the Moera Community Hall, and behind by the Muturangi whare and Moera Community House.
Proposed location
Within that area:
- the left fence has a strip of 2-5 metre high trees. Next to that is a 3.5 metre wide strip used by access vehicles. The trees shade the middle of the area in the afternoons (especially in winter).
- the Muturangi group use a strip of 3-5 m wide next to the hall for powhiri.
- the Muturangi group use the area immediately to the left of their whare for parking.
These constraints leave us with a strip of about 4 metres wide by 10 metres long in the middle of the grass area for planting beds.
